ABOUT THROUGHLINE GAMES

ThroughLine Games is an independent game development studio focusing on story-driven games with high artistic ambitions. The team, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, is currently developing Forgotton Anne, a seamless cinematic adventure game coming soon to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

ThroughLine Games was founded in 2014 by CEO & Creative Director Alfred Nguyen and Technical Director Michael Godlowski-Maryniak. The company name sprung from the narrative concept of a through-line. A "through-line" being the central idea that runs from the beginning to the end of a story.

After quitting their day-jobs in the Danish game industry, they started working on their passion project: Forgotton Anne. Alfred was an animation film director working with gaming apps, while Michael had been working at several local game studios.

The game concept started as a story and gameplay was then designed to allow for meaningful
interactivity in a story-driven game. The approach was to fuse together elements of Eastern and Western design and storytelling features in an original dark fairytale setting.
